Sun News

I was very saddened to hear that Sun News is going off the air. I will miss it. It was the only news source that went after Canadian news Not from the mSm fanboy point of view. I myself have been on Sun 8-9 times. The left will probably be gleeful, but I am sure this not the last we have seen from the talented hosts and journalists of SunTv. I hope this isn't true, but I have been hearing the rumours for weeks. We 're still rooting for you!!!

Sun News lost my interest when the owner ran in an election. I lost my trust. I cannot say that I don't check in with the 'team' but not like I did.

It's so sad and if it means anything to them, I watch NO Canadian news outlets nor do I read a thing from Canadian news sources. WE have NONE. It's all crap.

Such a sad day...no more news now except lies and missing reports and Trudeau gushing from CBC and CTV. I would love to see Ezra and Brian run in the next election for the Conservatives...I expect to see Akin over at CBC where he belongs.

Sorry to repeat myself ... as I've often stated in the past, I think it's counterproductive to the conservative cause to shut yourself off from media you happen to disagree with. You have to be aware of what your opponents are saying so that you can counter their arguments, otherwise you're leaving the field wide open to your opponents. Just my 2 cents' worth.

SNN went down because of a business model that doesn't work....without a government subsidy.
If anyone noticed, the media landscape is changing and the big cable networks including specialty channels is experiencing the effects of increased competition from all sides.
The market is shrinking not because there are less people that will watch but because there are more ways to access the content besides paying a cable bill.
SNN is like the canary in the coal mine.
The old media has to adjust or die off.
They can survive but only when the playing field is level and they charge advertizers fair market price.
Or as I like to point out to the lefties gloating about SNN demise: so why does CBC need a billion a year?

Part of the problem is that the dominant news carriers are also the dominant news producers. It will be very difficult for anybody to get a new channel going when while this continues. Bell and Rogers to just name two need to decide to be content producers or carriers, they cannot be both.

The constant yelling was exhausting. Listening to an apocalyptic rant every night was exhausting.
