Muslims facing Tomorrow

I understand the fundamental threat of the islamofascists. I have many Muslim friends who understand the threat better than I. My friends Raheel Raza and Salim Mansur  have started a new organization called Muslims Facing Tomorrow They will have an inaugural event tomorrow in Toronto with Dr M. Zuhdi Jasser. I will be there. I hope some of you can attend as well. Our Mission: Whereas in the contemporary world the values of individual freedom, human rights and gender equality, science and democracy are cherished universal ideals, yet Muslims and non-Muslim minorities espousing these ideals in countries that are member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation face abuse, persecution, and violence; and whereas Muslims and people of all other faith traditions need to come together in opposing bigotry in the name of religion; therefore our Mission is to nurture harmonious coexistence among people of all faith traditions, to supporting open and free intellectual discourse about our history beset with problems that need to be publicly discussed, to celebrating as Canadians our cultural diversity in all of its aspects and keeping Canada safe. When: Sunday September 30, 2012 Time: 5 to 8 pm Venue: Auditorium of North York Central Library (2nd floor across from Library) 5120 Yonge Street, Toronto , ON M2N 5N9 (Yonge & Sheppard Avenue) (Located on west side of Yonge Street on the north side of Mel Lastman Square beside the North York Civic Centre. Zuhdi Jasser, M.D. is the Founder and President of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD). A devout Muslim, Dr. Jasser founded AIFD in the wake of the 9/11 attacks on the United States as an effort to provide an American Muslim voice advocating for the preservation of the founding principles of the United States Constitution, liberty and freedom, through the separation of mosque and state. Dr. Jasser is a first generation American Muslim whose parents fled the oppressive Baath regime of Syria in the mid-1960’s for American freedom. Today, he is leading the fight for moderate Muslims who love their faith while embracing American principles and rejecting the hold that Islamist organizations have over American Muslims. Dr. Jasser is the author of The Battle for the Soul of Islam: An American Muslim Patriot’s Fight to Save His Faith (Simon & Schuster, June 2012). He is featured in four documentaries America at Risk, Islam v Islamists, A Question of Honor and The Third Jihad. Due to limited space, RSVP is urgently required. I pray that the Lord would guide you all through this very important organization which is greatly needed in helping those to understand the gravity they face.
Too many innocent muslims are misled and are in need of a new direction. Futhermore, for all faith to understand one another as we all are under one GOD.

Is it possible for practicing Muslims to advocate co-existence, much less shared respect, with other religions? Will they not be inventing a new religion? Jews have their Torah; Christians have the New Testament; Muslims have the Koran - what will this new group look to as its holy book? Certainly the Koran does not allow liberal amendments or deletions so help me, someone, understand what these "moderate" Muslims intend to do about Islam?

Based on the "Facts" that it's OK to deceive non-muslims for the purpose of spreading Islam, that the Koran calls for Convert or Kill practices and the slaughter of Jews and others, there is nothing that these people could ever do to convince me that they were not my enemy. Their very text, the "Bible" of Islam, the Koran defines them and they are not neat. It is a hate filled "Death Cult".

Yes, I know we keep being reassured that the majority of Muslims living here do not support Jihad and only want to live in harmony in a free and open society. Other than possibly a hand-full, I remain doubtful since we have yet to see this majority demonstrating publicly against the jihadists, acts of terror and the standard anti-Semitism. Until I see that, I remain doubtful.
