bo and the Supremes

Bo has been threatening the US Supremes. Apparently he was not such a good constitutional law professor. He certainly Is a very bad President. Bruised Obama tries to walk back his attack on the Supreme Court By Jennifer Rubin On Monday President Obama unleashed a storm of criticism over his remarks criticizing the Supreme Court. Minority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell joined other conservatives (and some liberals) in blasting the president : Regardless of the Supreme Court’s decision on Obamacare’s unprecedented mandate on the American people, elected leaders have an obligation to protect our system of checks and balances. The President, more than anyone else, has an obligation to uphold the legitimacy of our judicial system. But his remarks on the Court reflect not only an attempt to influence the outcome, but a preview of Democrat attacks to come if they don’t get their way. “Only someone who would browbeat the Court during the State of the Union, and whose administration stifled speech during the health care debate, would try to intimidate the Court while it’s deliberating one of the most consequential cases of our time. This president’s attempt to intimidate the Supreme Court falls well beyond distasteful politics; it demonstrates a fundamental lack of respect for our system of checks and balances.”

Dr. Eappean, I have high respect for you and your blog. Your thoughts on politics and social issues are well thought out & a pleasure to read.

Having said that I will continue in that I rarely (basically never) agree with Pres. Obama, his ideas or policies. I believe he is a deluded elitist annd just plaqin wrong.

But if there is any group of elitists I despise worse than Obama & company it is the Supreme court justices of most western nations.

These arrogant dictators have made it their lot in life to run roughshod over the wishes of the duly elected governments time and again. Now if the president himself decides to take the unprecedented move of publically critcizing them then I would say it's about time.

Say what you want about Obama. He was duly elected in a free election. The congressmen and senators who supported his legislation were freely elected. They debated ad supported legislation knowing fully well that they could be removed from office for doing so. If the people want the legislation remmoved then the have the chance to do so at the next election.

The Supreme court "justices" who so pompously ...rule... on this legislation are not elected and they are in the job for life. Nothing could be LESS democratic.

The supreme court shhould STFU and stay out of the busienss of creating or dismantling law.

I must make it clear. I don't support Obama or his health care initiatives. But I am completely sick and tired of ivory tower, elitists on bench ordering the leaglly elected government on how to act. Elected officials have been put in place by the people if the blustering dictators of of the courts don't like the choces the people make too damned bad.
