Moving to the right?

Canadians like HM Canadian government. This is making lefties like delacourt, russell, gardner et al crazy. That makes me smile

63.5% agree with Canada's direction, poll finds

Joseph Brean, National Post · Dec. 5, 2011 | Last Updated: Dec. 5, 2011 3:06 AM ET

The percentage of people who think Canada is generally moving in the right direction has increased sharply in the last year, from 52% to 63.5%, according to a new poll.

The rise is the steepest in the five-year history of the Mood of Canada survey, conducted by Nanos Research for Policy Options magazine.

The findings, based on questions in which people were also asked to rate the performance of the Conservative government, federalprovincial relations, and Canada's reputation in the world, reveal a generally positive view of the country.

I'd add Stephen Maher to that list of lefties who are lighting their hair on fire over this government and in particular, Stephen Harper's leadership. Check out his latest diatribe titled, "The elevation of the PM, and Parliament's slide into irrelevance".

It's breathtakingly childish and inconsistant when compared with the coverage that any Liberal leader has ever received.

This latest poll taken among Canadians is great, but over the next year or two, I think it'll pale in comparison to the accolades and respect this PM will receive from the (non-leftist) governments and press corps around the world.

I don't think it's an exageration to say that, in the absense of an American leader, Harper is becoming the strongest voice of the western democracies. Damn I'm proud of this guy.

Stephen Harper will be PM long enough for LM to write Harperland 2 and 3

If Parliament is becoming irrelevant it's because the Progressives have nothing left to counter-offer.
