...continues to roll over the opposition. Fundraising has slowed after a federal election and over the summer months for all political parties. The Tories still outraised all political parties combined this quarter. Interestingly in spite of puny givings for the grits, they outraised the dippers by a substantial amount. The bloc and greens raised very little money. For the year so far the Tories have raised $18.6 million, the grits $7.7 million, the dippers $5.9 million, the greens $1.4 million and the bloc a measly $810 thousand. Considering that electoral welfare will soon be a thing of the past, the other parties better get their act together. The grits and even the dippers must be significantly in debt after the last campaign. The Tories already had enough in reserve to run a campaign. Electoral welfare will gradually fade out and these numbers will be all the parties will have to work with.
