R.I.P. Steve Jobs

I am greatly saddened to hear of the passing of Steve Jobs. I never met this man, but he has been part of my life for many years.  I offer my deepest sympathies to his family. The Apple community mourn this truly great man.

Like you, I never met the man, but because of Apple's user-friendly configuration, I'm on my 4th Mac. Had I stayed with a PC, which I tried out when I was first initiated to computers, I would have dropped the whole thing & kept my electric typewriter.

What I found inspiring about the man, apart from his sheer genius, is that despite his very sad start in life -- rejected by both his biological mother and the first adoptive parents -- he became the successful CEO Mac & iPod/Pad enthusiasts mourn today.

Thanks for posting the videos.

I was shocked when I heard his passing away on the evening news. This is because I didn't know he had cancer back then. RIP to Steve Jobs and condolences to his bereaved friends and family. Tim of depuy asr recall

Jobs seemed like a nice guy, I'm sorry he died so young: I think his contributions though are are way (10-fold) over-stated. He invented expensive toys, time and productivity-wasters, electronic-yoyo's. In my world, I lump Apple with Mattel, Hasbro, and Parker Brothers, not one spec more.
