I attended an OSM concert this week it featured guest composer Robert Spano with piano soloist SIMON TRPCESKI. The first piece is about the aurora borealis. It was interesting but a bit too dissonant for me. Trpceski played a beautiful second piano concerto. It is such a beautiful piece of music. It got a several minute standing ovation. The Sibelius was well played, but I was quite tired and wasn't able to appreciate as much as I should. It was a lovely evening of music.

ROBERT SPANO, conductor

ESTACIO, Borealis
RACHMANINOFF, Piano Concerto No. 2
