Media Bias

CTV hasn't been much better than cbc in it's shilling for their grit friends. What with giggles, craig I hate the tories oliver et al. At least they are private and mostly doing it on their own dime. I guess now that this grit can't get a grit senate appointment he gets this job. I can't wait for SunTv!

OTTAWA - A former high-ranking Liberal with a long career in television has been appointed to run CTV News Channel.

Jack Fleischmann, a former reporter who began his career covering Parliament Hill for CJOH and has recently run BNN, CTV’s business channel, also has a history with the Liberal party. During the 2004 and 2006 election campaigns, Fleischmann took a leave of absence from CTV to work for Red Leaf, the Liberal Party’s election advertising agency.

Red Leaf was responsible for a series of attack ads on Stephen Harper and the Conservatives that helped the Liberals win the election in 2004. In 2006, the agency came up with the “Soldiers with guns in our streets” ad, an ad that created a storm of controversy and backlash against the Liberals for going too far.

A former "Liberal" party advertising guru running CTV sounds about right. At least CTV doesn't pretend to be anything other than a "Liberal" party mouthpiece, unlike the CBC. Another indication the "Liberals" and their coalition comrades are about to force an election.
