NDP Hijacked the rallies

My friend Christian Conservative pointed this out yesterday. Grit John Cannis talks about how the dippers hijacked the prorogation rallies. Watch here.

And so the misinformation spreads. CC's claims to the contrary , which you echo here, Mr. Cannis did not say that the NDP "hijacked the prorogation rallies", rather he stated, quite clearly, that in his opinion they hijacked the rally he attended.

Quite the difference.

Either way, there was a lot of political "push" on this from left-leaning parties and factions that stood to gain. Many, many participants from unions, Greens, and NDP. For a "grass roots" movement, there was a lot of organization, directing and funding coming from the top.

I suppose you're correct, but then one wouldn't really expect as much of a "push" from those on the right.

I can't speak on the "organization, directing and funding coming from the top", other than this suggests a coordinated centrally driven effort that your own words and known facts do not support.

The only other thing I can offer is my own observations:

Speakers at the Stratford rally were critical of the Conservatives, the Liberals and the NDP.

The only people I know who were in any way involved in organizing any of these rallies were disaffected Red Tories.

Pretty much all the rallies were hijacked. Shila Davis, NDP Candidate, was the central organizer, and she now leads the infamoud anti-prorogation facebook group. More facts here:

The very slight findings of the Rally Facts site indicate quite the opposite. Out of hundreds of organizers, they managed to find only 21 who'd had some sort of connection to a political party, including a high school student who - heavens! - once offered himself as a volunteer for the Liberals.

An aside, if I may, is it interesting that the people behind Rally Facts, who are so intent on exposing the politics and personal lives of others, hide behind a veil of anonymity?
