Koryvision launches

It is fun to watch the old msm rave about the possibility of a new News Channel. Kory couldn't have paid for this publicity.
I will be attending the launch tomorrow of the new Koryvision.

The official announcement of what has been unofficially termed “Fox News North” is coming on Tuesday.

After reports last week that Quebecor Inc. (QBR.B-T33.42-0.43-1.27%) was poised to launch a 24-hour news channel aimed at more conservative Canadian viewers, the company said on Monday that president and chief executive officer Pierre Karl PĂ©ladeau will “make an announcement in regard to new investment in Canadian media” in downtown Toronto on Tuesday morning.

The company is expected to invest roughly $100-million in the project over five years. A former chief spokesman for Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Kory Teneycke will head up the new channel. Quebecor also made other hires last week in preparation for the announcement. David Akin left CanWest News Service to work as national bureau chief overseeing Quebecor’s Sun Media operations in Ottawa. And Brian Lilley left his post as Ottawa bureau chief for Astral Media Radio to become a senior correspondent.

This is the best news ever! Yea! How do we sign up?

So, CBC used Kory Teneycke less and less? Good! He's freed up to head this new network.

I can't wait to get a subscription and I don't care how much it costs.

Amen, Rose. I support PBS financially for their programing not their political slant and I don't mind paying for what I want; unlike the trashy CBC which I support involuntarily.

I hope Rex Murphy will contribute.

Just the thought of this new show provoking thought on everything from why are taxpayer dollars going towards the funding of the cbc, to real coverage of political goings on in Canada, makes me very happy.
