Lord Black has an excellent assessment of the Ann Coulter visit to Canada. He shares my assessment of Ann. When I met her, she was utterly charming, polite and gracious. She is not at all racist and is very funny.
As I have noted before in these columns, Ann Coulter is a social friend and a neighbour in Palm Beach (and was one of the many commiserators whom I was able to assure last week that there was no substance to a Toronto-area newspaper’s jubilant report that I had sold my house there, and at a large discount to appraised value). Recently, I have had the opportunity to exchange emails with her about last week’s non-appearance at the University of Ottawa, and to scan much of the Canadian media response.
