Anyone, Muslim or not, who had a mortgage, had held the same job for more than 10 years, had a lengthy history of incident-free commercial flights, had a solid credit rating, a retirement account and no reports, like Abdulmutallab's, of extremist tendencies might well still have to do the detector walk-through, but wouldn't need to toss his latte and nail file before getting on a flight.
The trouble is, we are too timid as a culture to do the obvious -- focus on young Muslim men with radical connections, who have proven themselves to be 99 per cent of the problem.

And this spineless abdication to political correctness, enforced by the shrill, whiny, hypocritical left has already cost thousands of lives and will undoubtedly cost thousands more until we get up the courage to stand up to the enforcers of the twisted apologist ideology and politely tell them to shut the f%#*k up. The time for niceties has passed.
How about Obama who in his comments about the failed airplane attack wants to fight against "extremists". What does that mean, right-wing extremists? Probably.
When one is looking for a sheep killer one doesn't waste time checking the cows.
Larry Kudlow on MSNBC the other night had Frank Gafney, who discussed Sharia Muslims and profiling at airports. He also threw a challenge to Obama.
Kudlow is a bit of a screamer at times , but he and Gafney worked under Reagan and definitely don't represent the left-wing bias of the MSM.

Listen to Frank Gafney's excellent bit on Sharia and profiling. For MSNBC to air this , some of the stupid left-wing politically correct morons in MSM are finally beginning to acknowledge that it it acts like a duck ,quacks like a duck , and you are looking for ducks , perhaps you should profile ducks rather than 80 year old white females !
israel has been successful for about 40 years in keeping travellers safe. consult with them and use their methods. it seems to work.
A couple of weeks after 9/11 when we started flying again, I was in the security line behind a large (12+) muslim youth group (OK, I identify them as such because a) they were all young men, late teens, early 20's, and in characteristic dress).
Interestingly, they didn't get challenged in any way, their bags passed through without any secondary checks and they walked onto the plane un-harassed.
On the same flight, I assume to meet some security quota, a WASP granny in front of me got pulled over for a full pat-down and carry on search.
Go figure !
