Terrible News!

I absolutely denounce this crime. Killing doctors or anyone is evil, regardless of your point of view. Those who did this should be caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Killing a man on his way into church is truly despicable.
WICHITA, Kan. — DEVELOPING: Media reports say that abortion provider Dr. George Tiller has been shot and killed at his Wichita church.

Tiller has been among the few U.S. physicians performing late-term abortion. His clinic has repeatedly been the site of protests for about two decades.

Wow, Dr. Roy. Your anonymous commenter condones the murder. Nice crowd you got here.

Anyway, it doesn't matter if you denounce it now. The crime has already been committed and you cannot distance yourself from it. Since you nurture and coddle and aggravate the lunacy by letting the accusations of "murder" and "holocaust" and "moral corruption" go unchallenged and by championing every single article of pseudo-science peddled by frauds with respect to abortion, then you are as guilty as if you had held the gun yourself.

Enjoy another addition to your body count, "Dr."

"As guilty as if you had held the gun yourself". Glad I'm not in the court where this guy would be a judge!

Pointing out the obvious -- that Tiller reaped what he sowed -- isn't the same as condoning the murder. It's just pointing out that drug dealers, child molesters, and abortionists spend their lives giving people reason to want them dead, so nobody should be surprised when one of those people acts on it.

That doesn't make it right. It just makes it not particularly surprising.

GrannyGrump said...

Ti-Guy, no matter what the motive, the shooter was acting on prochoice philosophy -- that if somebody's existence troubles you, you have every right to kill them. YOU WHO FORWARD THAT PHILOSOPHY ARE GUILTY, not those of us who argue that you don't solve your personal problems by killing people.

burpster said...

I thought GOD was supposed to iron all this out when you died? Why the need to shoot people you disagree with? Why does it seem like those on the right are always the ones shooting us on the left that they disagree with?

Patrick Ross said...

The interesting thing is this. That Canadian Cynic's off whining about how anyone who disagrees with abortion but wants to oppose the killing of abortion clinic doctors is a hypocrite.

Yet it was OK for Lindsay Stewart to applaud an assault on an anti-abortion activist -- even a 69-year-old anti-abortion activist.

I'd have to say we all know who the real hypocrites are. Then again, we always did.

The idiocy of certain commenters is astonishing. Placing doctors who perform abortions into the same category as child molesters and drug dealers is morally bankrupt.

Abortionists act within the law. When they don't, they are prosecuted and jailed. As it happens, Tiller was not convicted. As he might have broken quite some ethical rules, his license was under review. This is the justice of our world. The rest is up to God.

When I comment on this blog (which is rarely), I'm only addressing Dr. Roy. I have no interest in engaging any of the loonies (especially the ones who use tortured logic) among his adoring fans.

But anyway, I'm criticising the anti-choice crowd for their sinful dishonesty in arguing their case and am not engaging the abortion issue per se.

I happen to be personally against abortion (but pro-choice for others), but I would never lie to defend my position.

Patrick Ross said...

ROTFL

So, Ti-Guy, how about your dishonesty, and that of your lord and master?

Care to criticize the dishonesty of insisting that pointing out the hypocrisy of Canadian Cynic on the topic of abortion-centred violence is "rationalizing murder"?

(I alreay know the answer to this question, by the way.)

Ti-Guy said...

I repeat:

"When I comment on this blog (which is rarely), I'm only addressing Dr. Roy. I have no interest in engaging any of the loonies (especially the ones who use tortured logic) among his adoring fans."

Patrick Ross said...

See, I told you I know the answer to this question.

Ti-Guy won't criticize the dishonesty of Canadian Cynic -- after all, Ti-Guy has no mind of his own, so he'd have a hard time just mustering the alpha waves to even begin.

But even beyond that, Ti-Guy doesn't care about honesty. Not one little iota. To Ti and the other worshippers at the Groupthink Temple honesty is simply something to be demanded of the other "side" -- all while they embrace dishonesty as a core personality trait, as one of those things that make them who they are.

And they wonder why it is they can't be taken seriously.

Ti-Guy said...

Patrick, stop stalking and behaving so childishly. If you have something to bring up that involves Canadian Cynic, do it at his blog.

Patrick Ross said...

No, Ti, I don't think so.

You insist that, for you, this is all about honesty. That you're here to denounce Dr Eappen for dieshonestly pretending to care about abortion-centred violence.

Well, I certainly don't feel that Dr Eappen's concern about this violence is dishonest in any way.

By the same token, however, I'd say that anyone who feverishly applauds an assault on a 69-year-old anti-abortion activist is more than slightly dishonest when they pretend to care about abortion-centred violence.

If you really gave a flying fuck about honesty, you'd denounce that dishonesty.

But you don't. You couldn't possibly care less about honesty.

And yet here you are, accusing Dr Eappen of being dishonest while you refuse to criticize the dishonesty of the person you take your marching orders from -- the person who literally gives you the closest thing that has ever passed for an original thought in your vapid empty head.

So tell me again, Ti:

Who's the fucking child?

Hmmm. Interesting. The rest of us have to just sit here and take it, I suppose.

"the shooter was acting on prochoice philosophy"

then why didn't he murder an anti-choicer?

you could always incite his murder....

Patrick Ross said...

"then why didn't he murder an anti-choicer?"

Hmmmm. There you have it.

According to Kevron the "pro-choice" philosophy (actually the pro-abortion philosophy) is to murder "anti-choicers" (actually anti-abortion individuals).

And seeing as how everyone knows Canadian Cynic is lurking on this thread, one simply has to wonder:

How long will it be before Canadian Cynic -- the guy allegedly so concerned with abortion-centred violence -- will denounce that?

(We all know the answer to this question, too.)

Life is never as black and white as we would all love to believe. Personally I would like to know how many lives will be extended by the death of a baby killer.

Patrick Ross said...

For fuck's sake.

A woman who wants an abortion badly enough will get one -- whether it's in a doctor's office or in a back alley.

I'd remind you that more lives are saved by individuals like the late Dr Tiller, but I know you aren't listening.

KEvron said...

"According to Kevron...."

and then, predictably, it goes south.

because they lie. all the time.

Really, Kevvy? Do they really lie? All the time?

Let's take a second look at your comments:

"'the shooter was acting on prochoice philosophy'

then why didn't he murder an anti-choicer?"

Hmmmm. Looks like you're suggesting that murdering those who oppose abortion is part of the "pro-choice" (actually pro-abortion) philosophy.

Those are your words. I didn't make them up. Evidently, I don't need to.

KEvron said...

"Those are your words. I didn't make them up."

with just the slightest encouragement, i get you to expose yourself for the repugnant liar that you really are, jennifer. i bitchin' that way!

Patrick Ross said...

ROTFL

Well, you can say that if you like, but it doesn't make it true.

GrannyGrump insisted that "the shooter was acting on the pro-choice philosophy". To which you asked why he didn't shoot an anti-abortion activist instead.

Whether you like what they say or not, whether you're honest enough to admit it or not (and we all know you aren't), those words speak for themselves. Cyber-stalking my sister isn't going to change that.

So by your logic KEvon because a husband who wants his wife dead strongly enough will find a way to kill her we should have free standing assassination clinics and allow the killers all the honours of holding advanced degrees. Why I think such killers should even be in church every Sunday. I'm sure the collection plate will be empty without the tithes of such honorable killers. Assassins an honourable profession indeed.

KEvron said...

"So by your logic KEvon"

you mean "according to KEvron", don't you?

I guess Dr Eappen turned off the douche spigot on you. So sorry to see that.

I guess you'll just have to go advocate for the murder of anti-abortion activists somewhere else.
