The CBC wants more of our money. Its not like the grit biased network can cut expense. Staying in $800 a day hotel rooms is essential. Let the CBC be privatized. Its viewership numbers are very low. Why should we pay even more for something that we don't even watch? Why should we as conservatives pay for a leftist network that serves as a propaganda machine for the grits?
CBC cash grab
New president appeals for funds
By MARIE-FRANCE-LOU LEMAY, SUN MEDIA
MONTREAL -- The new CBC/Radio-Canada president has asked the federal government to give the public broadcaster a $215-million boost and commit to a seven-year funding plan.
In his first public speech since being appointed CBC president in January, Hubert Lacroix asked the government to fork over $40 per Canadian in annual funding -- the broadcaster currently receives $33 per Canadian.
Lacroix also asked for an exact dollar figure on how much the government will contribute to the CBC over the next seven years.

The new president is a Harper panel appointee - perhaps you better take up your whining and moaning and groaning with him.
Appointee yes, but only as a caretaker until the inevitable break up and sale of the CBC.

That's somewhat irrelevant, I would suggest. It hardly addresses the culture of entitlement within the organization.
We can't get rid of the CBC. If you look in the Charter it gives us the right to government funded crappy sitcoms and inane game shows.
It most certainly IS NOT irrevelant - you know Harper would only pick conservatives.
