Calling Belinda a dog: Insult to Man's best friend

h/t The fiberals are trying to protect the honour of the disloyal woman with no honour:Belinda ,the putative adulteress, Stronach. Given the way she treated Peter Mackay , I wouldn't blame him for calling that putative adulteress a host of other names. I agree if the insult was said a. it was meant for only that particular woman and b. it is an insult to man's best friend.
MacKay referred to Stronach as dog, MPs say

OTTAWA — Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay referred to Liberal MP Belinda Stronach — his ex-girlfriend — as a dog Thursday in the House of Commons, the Liberals say.

MacKay denies saying any such thing.

The purported slur prompted Toronto-area Liberal Mark Holland to lodge a complaint with the Commons Speaker, and other Liberals expressed disgust at the alleged remark

Holland says the foreign minister made the slur while exchanging jeers with the Liberals during a debate on the environment.

While the government was being peppered with questions about the new Clean Air Plan, Holland says a Liberal jokingly asked MacKay about the impact of pollution on humans and animals: “What about your dog?”

According to Holland, MacKay motioned toward Stronach’s vacant seat and replied: “You already have her.”

MacKay staged a well-publicized photo op with a dog on his family’s Nova Scotia farm when he and Stronach broke up after her stunning defection to the Liberal party in 2005.

In Halifax on Thursday night for a speech to a Tory fund-raiser, MacKay denied saying anything derogatory about Stronach and suggested that his critics consult Hansard.

“I made no dog comment,” MacKay told reporters, and blamed the fuss on Liberal partisan politics.

“It’s what it’s all about. It’s a distraction away from their own inadequacies.”

Earlier, Holland told reporters outside the Commons: “It’s completely unacceptable to call a woman a dog and to point over to her is completely disgusting.

Mr Holland it is completely disgusting to betray a friend and to sleep with other women's husbands. What should Peter Mackay do ?Throw her a party? At the time of Belinda's betrayal, I wrote Peter Mackay an email saying he could do much better than Belinda. I had no idea how right I was. Forget about her existence Peter , you and the Tories are so lucky to be rid of her.
aybe we should throw party to celebrate the fact that she is gone.

Whatever McKay actually said, if anything, couldn't be nearly as offensive as the manufactured outrage these idiots puke up for the television cameras after they leave the Parliament buildings.

That is nasty! I would let a dog in my house and sit on the furniture...

This is particularly insulting, and certainly no way for HM's Minister of Foreign Affairs to behave. He should be sent to the isolation island with Garth Turner.

Mr MacKay has a responsibility to nurse his personal hurts at home and not to allow his failed romance to effect his work.

Mr. MacKay has a rumoured past with women that would suggest he began relationships with women before ending others. He has caused enough personal hurts to others. Karma's a bitch I guess.

I have no idea if he said it or not but if he did he should be ashamed.

I understand that the audio has been requested to be reviewed by a specialist and we will see if the LPC tried to falsely smear him or if in addition to Mr. Mackay's other flaws he's a liar.
